What Does Diversity Look Like at Rainard?
Diversity is a crucial part of our community at Rainard. We have students, faculty, and staff members from a wide variety of backgrounds, and see our diverse makeup as one of our biggest strengths. Read on to learn what diversity means to us and how we view diversity in our admissions process.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Rainard does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, sexual identity, religion, creed, national origin, disability, or any other status prohibited by law, in any of its operations. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate during the hiring process or during the student admissions process. Furthermore, we are committed to building a strong, diverse, and inclusive school environment and welcome admissions inquiries from families of all backgrounds.
Merit-Based Admissions Process
At Rainard, we believe that gifted students from all backgrounds deserve a welcoming, nurturing, and academically-rigorous education. We use a merit-based admissions process to determine which students are the best fit for our school. This process allows us to be as objective in our admissions as possible, as all students are held to the same standard. Rainard looks at a student’s transcripts, teacher recommendations, and evidence of giftedness when considering each student. Click here to learn more about our admissions requirements.
A Positive Learning Environment For All
Every student deserves a positive learning environment. Rainard does not discriminate during the admissions process and also has zero-tolerance for discrimination in the classroom. We strive to create a positive school experience for all of our students, regardless of their background. At Rainard, teachers, staff members, and students all work together to maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Proudly Multicultural
At Rainard, diversity isn’t just about admissions. It’s about celebrating the different cultures that make up our school community. Rainard is a proudly multicultural environment. We not only have plenty of opportunities for students to share their own cultures; we also celebrate our world’s different cultures and traditions in the classroom. The Rainard model allows us to embrace our differences while also finding unity in the traits we all share as a community.
