Our Campus at Rainard

Our Classrooms

Our small class size, low student-teacher ratio and personalized instruction are designed to meet the unique needs of each learner. We cap each multi-age classroom at 12-14 students and Pre-K at 10. Each classroom has its own library tailored to the students' interests and abilities. You'll find a variety of workspaces in each room, including structured seating as well as comfortable couches and chairs. Technology includes: campus-wide WIFI, tech-enabled projectors, integrated software suites, computers, tablets, and 3D printers.

Conveniently Located

We’re located in West Houston, just off the Beltway and I-10. We serve families from all over Houston including The Woodlands, Pearland, Sugarland and everywhere in between.

Unique By Design

Our campus is a collection of modular buildings, butterfly gardens, outdoor recreation areas, rustic pathways, and tall, towering trees. On the surface our buildings aren’t fancy, but inside each classroom, they provide a rich learning environment for our students.

Outdoor Areas

We value outdoor learning time which is why we have spaces for outdoor learning across our campus. Our playground offers ample recreation time. Our courtyard is shaded by large trees for reading or dining outdoors or a fun soccer game. The paved courtyard is great for a quick basketball game.

Connection to Nature

Our favorite part of our campus is its connection to nature. Our campus is a certified Natural Area. Students can see outside from their desks. They eat and play under the oaks between classes. They explore habitats around the school during classroom investigations. Educational research shows connection to nature can improve concentration and increase learning and academic performance.

Outdoor Learning

Our school garden and chicken coop teaches our students about different kinds of food and how foods are grown and produced. Our Spanish and French instructors enjoy teaching a cooking lesson in their perspective languages utilizing the produce from our garden.

Our Vision for Tomorrow

The Rainard campus will continue to evolve. Our school’s physical infrastructure and holdings have grown steadily over the years. As we look to the future, our long-range plans continue to incorporate important attributes for the school. These include accessible size and scale, academic houses, a palpable connection to nature, student-focused spaces, and opportunity for exploration. These are a vibrant and vital component of the Rainard experience.

Rainard School for Gifted Students is proud to call our campus a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. While this certification helps our environment and the wildlife around us, it also helps ensure a whole new level of learning for our gifted students.
